Zendaya Might Direct an Episode of Euphoria Season 3!
Global youth icon Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman, better known as Zendaya, is a famous American model, singer and actress. Her recent announcement is currently making waves all over the internet.
Coleman is one of the most promising new stars in the acting industry, but in addition to that, she has ambitions to pursue a career in filmmaking. In addition to reprising her Emmy-winning performance on Euphoria as Rue, the 25-year-old has plans to direct an episode in the upcoming third season.
When a fan asked about her plans to direct an episode of her HBO series Euphoria, during a Q&A session for Vogue Italia for her cover shoot; the Disney alum responded that she had been slated to direct an episode during Season 2 but could not do so because she lacked sufficient time to prepare.
The daughter of Kazembe Ajamu Coleman and Claire Stoermer further revealed that she was supposed to direct episode 6, but then she was forced to only focus on the role of an actress.
The actress further went on to say, “Unfortunately, I was unable to do so at this point in time since I did not have sufficient time.” She added, “I wanted to make sure I had enough time to do it the proper way,”
Early in February, just a few weeks before the end of Season 2, HBO announced that they would be continuing the Euphoria series for a third season.
The first episode of Euphoria’s second season was the episode with the most views of any HBO series ever on HBO Max. Currently, the episode has more than 14 million viewers across all platforms. Season two’s opening was also the most shared premium cable show on social media since the show’s May 2019 finale, Game of Thrones.
In the successful series, Zendaya portrays Rue Bennett, a youngster who is battling heroin addiction as well as the pressures of high school life at East Highland.
If the Shake it Up star does decide to direct an episode, it will be the first time she has done so; however, she has already contributed to writing skills on a television series. The Emmy award-winning actress co-wrote an episode of her popular Disney Channel series K.C. Undercover with co-executive producers Corrine Marshall and Rob Lotterstein in 2018.
In addition, she recently appeared alongside her boyfriend Tom Holland in the major hit film Spider-Man: No Way Home in the role of M.J. Besides that, the actress was recently in the news because of a rumor that she is pregnant with her boyfriend Tom‘s baby.
Moreover, her next project is Challengers with the well-known director Luca Guadagnino, which is now in post-production and scheduled for release on August 23, 2023. Additionally, she is filming Dune: Part Two as Chani.
