Lauren Graham and Peter Krause are no longer together. Graham, 55, and Krause, 56, “quietly terminated their relationship last year,” according to Graham’s spokesman, who confirmed the separation to PEOPLE exclusively.

The two actors initially met in 1995. Their relationship didn’t become sexual until nearly two decades later, when they co-starred as siblings Adam and Sarah Braverman on Parenthood from 2010 to 2015.
Although Graham and Krause only appeared on a few red carpets together and chose to keep their relationship private, they both spoke highly of each other during interviews and talk show appearances.

The American actress discussed working with Krause in a 2010 interview with Redbook. “One of the things that have been so enjoyable is how simple it is,” she explained. “Working with someone and spending time with them is a lot.”

The beautiful lady also described the start of their friendship throughout the chat. “No one knew about it for a long time since we prefer to stay at the home, cook, and not go out,” she said. “I have also been quite protective of it because people must recognize us as brother and sister on the show.

The duo made their first red carpet appearance in November 2010, shortly after announcing their relationship, at the Saban Free Clinic’s 34th annual dinner gala at The Beverly Hilton hotel. Krause was beaming with Graham on the red carpet as they posed for photographs together. During an interview on the TV Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2014, Graham was nervous when questioned about her future intentions with Krause.

‘No, no, no, this is how things work,‘ they said, “Graham recalled something. Krause’s newest addition to their house, the “COVID Corner,” was also shown by the actress. “I guess to make COVID life more fun, Peter started doing this thing where he’d go to the store and stock up on ridiculous amounts of whatever and leave it in the corner of the living room and call it ‘COVID corner,’ as if that made these piles of stuff fun or a place to look or show the guests,” she explained. “He’d say things like, ‘Hey guys, have you watched ‘COVID corner?’ I said, ‘This isn’t an amusement park.‘”

Despite this, Graham said she felt compelled to “respect” Krause’s space and “let it remain” because “these times are challenging and everyone is dealing with it in their own manner.” “Come on over to ‘COVID corner’ if you need club soda or paper towels,” she joked to DeGeneres.
