Recently, the news spread on the internet that Kanye officially terminated his collaboration with Gap and has spoken out about the disappointing deal.

On Thursday, Kanye West’s attorneys notified Gap Inc. (GPS.N), an apparel chain, that the rapper and fashion designer was terminating his partnership with the company. They stated in the letter that Kanye West was doing so because the company had failed to meet its obligations as outlined in the contract.

According to the letter, Gap broke the terms of its agreement with West by failing to build specialized stores for the Yeezy Gap brand and by not selling products with the Yeezy Gap name in its regular retail stores.

The official letter indicated that the business may continue to sell existing Yeezy Gap equities until the end of the sell-off period. The parent company of Banana Republic ended Thursday with a 3.6% loss.

Likewise, West signed a 10-year agreement with Gap in 2020 to manufacture a range of clothing under the brand name Yeezy Gap. Later, the blue puffer jacket that was the first item released in June 2021 was gone in a matter of hours.
