Tesla CEO Elon Musk is back in the news again for personal reasons. The 51-year-old billionaire is reported to have an affair with the now ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin.

On Sunday, The Wall Street Journal reported that a split had developed between Musk and his longtime friend and co-founder of Google Sergey Brin because the CEO of Space X had a brief affair with Brin’s wife, Nicole Shanahan.

The report further claimed that the extramarital romance between Musk and Shanahan was the reason for Brin’s and Shanahan’s divorce earlier this year. The former couple was married for four years and shares a child.

Musk has since refuted the allegations. Former husband of actress Talulah Riley tweeted late on Sunday night that he and Sergey are “friends”, but the allegation claiming he caused the divorce is “complete BS.”

“That’s not true at all. My friend Sergey and I attended the same party last night. Over the past years, Nicole and I have only met at events with other people. Nothing Romantic at all.

In a later tweet, the billionaire said, “the character assassination attacks have reached a new level this year, but the stories are all nothing-burgers. I work for a crazy hour and doesn’t leave much time for shenanigans,”

As per the bombshell report of WSJ, the affair between Tesla’s CEO and Brin’s wife allegedly occurred at a high-end art event in Miami Beach last year. After finding out about the affair, Google co-founder filed for divorce, and the relationship between the two billionaires was also over.

The two tech titans were lifelong friends until the affair. Musk has stated that for years he routinely crashed at Brin’s Silicon Valley house. Similarly, Brin had backed Tesla during the 2008 financial crisis.

In recent times Elon Musk has been on news several times for personal reasons. A few months back, Musk who owns the major share of Twitter, got involved in a court case of actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard because of his affair with Heard. Also, a few weeks back it was revealed that there is a court case of Musk’s secret twin children with his company’s top executive Shivon Zilis.
