Dana Strum developed an interest in music at a very young age and was fascinated by Rock music. Besides singing, he had also applied his luck in acting and he had done several movies.
He is widely known for various reasons but mainly he is a professional guitarist of Slaughter. The Star was born on the 13 of December 1957 in Washington D.C. He had spent more than 60 years of his life in the career of music. Strum is known as a member of the glam metal band Slaughter.

Early Life
Dana Strum spent his early life in southern California’s San Fernando Valley with his parents. He was a son of a renowned scientist and his father was the first person to explore the field of neurobiology and was a researcher in Psychiatry and Neuroscience. In contrast, his mother was a house maker and used to work as a Nylon maker.
At the beginning of his career involvement in music was disapproved by his parents. However, he never discontinued his passion and begin to play old bass guitar along with bands called Black Sabbath and Grand Funk Railroad.
When Strum was the age of 13, He created his band named D.O.A and by the age of 16, he used to perform and play bass professionally on the Los Angeles club circuit.
The Band Bad axe was the first band that he began his career with and played often at the Starwood along with Quiet Riot, Motley Crue , and others.

The Real love guitarist Dana met Ozzy Osbourne when he was playing the instrument at the Starwood. On 1979 Ozzy Osbourne was fired from the band Black Sabbath due to alcohol and drug problems but he was not ready to give up his musical career, He was in search of a new band member to formulate a band together.
Similarly, in the same year which was 1979, Dana Strum also left Band Badaxe and was approached by Ozzy to have an audition for him and wrote a letter on the piece of paper which says call me at this place Park Hotel.

Dana Strum is the base guitarist and back vocalist of the Slaughter. The first origin of the band was in Las Vegas Nevada, US in early 1980.
Slaughter consists of 6 members Mark Slaughter – lead vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboards, piano, tambourine (1988–present), Dana Strum – bass guitar, backing vocals (1988–present), Jeff “Blando” Bland – lead guitar, backing vocals (1998–present), Blas Elias– drums, percussion (1988-2003, 2019-Present).
It was one of the first Thrash death metal bands which was established in the early 80s that was a combination of death metal and Hardcore Punk with thrash.

Music Career
A Nightmare on ELM street 4: The Dream Master actor Dana began his musical career by being a member of the band called Badaxe which he joined when he was in Highschool in 1979. In his band, other people like David Carruth on guitar Steve Ward on drums, and Stacy Moreland were on vocals and were considered the raising hard rock band.
In early 1979 Dana left his band and was approached by Ozzy Osbourne to formulate a new band. While auditioning for his band, he became a close friend of Ozzy and became his new Bassist. However, he didn’t last long and replace by Randy Rhoads.

Vinnie Vincent Invasion was a critically acclaimed band formed by guitarists and songwriters. It was created in 1985 and lasted for five years. The member of the band was;

Vinnie Vincent’s invasion was formed by the former Kiss band guitarist Vinnie Vincent who wants Dana as one of his team members. They work as a partner in the creation of Vinnie Vincent’s invasion. The album self-titled was a massive success as it climb into the billboard 100.
After the release of their second album, the band decided to be separated and announced officially their last concert on August 26 1988 in Anaheim California.
After the Vinnie Vincent invasion got disbanded, Mark Slaughter and Dana Strum begin to start their next move and create a band called Slaughter.
Dana stated that despite having the same thoughts his band member were “distinctly different animals. However, he thought it was going to be the perfect mixture of various different personalities. Despite having a lot of barriers the band finally get along in January 1989 and both Mark and Dana started to hammer out a song.
Later on, their band lacked two members and they were looking for two other players who wanted to share their “one for all and all for one” attitude, and another criterion was band members should not have d drinking or drug problem, and they had to be very “fan orientated.
