From 1987 through 1995, Saget was most recognized as Danny Tanner, a widowed father of three girls, in the hit comedy Full House. He returned to the role in 2016 when Netflix renewed the show for a fifth season. The comedian had just started his new 2022 stand-up tour and had already tweeted about his concert in Jacksonville, expressing his joy about being back on stage.
