She has a brother who is 14 years her senior. His name is Nayib Estefan, and he is an actor. The Cuban American model and television presenter Lili Estefan is her paternal cousin.
As for her academic qualifications, the singer attended Miami Country Day School. She has been into music ever since a child because of the musical environment that she grew up in. Thus, after completing high school, she attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts and graduated in Contemporary writing and production.
