Waleed Aly is an Australian writer, professor, lawyer, television personality, and musician born on August 15, 1978, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Ahmad Aly, his brother, works as a surgeon at Melbourne’s Austin Hospital. He is of Egyptian descent and adheres to the Sunni Muslim religion.
