MJ and Tommy met on the dating app Tinder in 2015. They weren’t aiming for “Happily Ever After” immediately because it was only supposed to be a fling. In Yahoo Life’s It’s Love series, she stated of her spouse, “He wasn’t looking for something important that was going to last a long time.“

After three to four months of online communication, MJ presented Tommy to her parents, and they went on their first official date. Tommy proposed to MJ at a graveyard after a year of dating. Their passionate engagement was videotaped for audiences to watch in season 5 of Shahs of Sunset.

There were flying doves, a vintage automobile, and a chorus in this funeral-themed event. Tommy was dressed in a suit, while MJ was dressed in white. All cast members were there at the graveside proposal, including MJ’s foe Golnesa Gharachedaghi.

MJ and Tommy married at the Jeremy in West Hollywood on April 21, 2018. In a flower-filled outdoor ceremony, the pair exchanged vows with one another. The ring-bearers were MJ’s dogs, and Reza was the man of honor. To respect MJ’s ancestry, Persian traditions were incorporated into the wedding.

Fans of Shahs of Sunset followed along on the ride, and the wedding was broadcast on television in season 7. The show’s whole cast and the bride and groom’s families were invited.

On April 17, 2019, the couple welcomed their son Shams Francis Feight. Shams was born via C-section, and MJ experienced problems following his birth. “I lost two-thirds of my body’s blood flow during my delivery, requiring 19 units of blood during the surgery, then [was] intubated and placed in ICU after my C-section due to considerable fluid in my lungs,” she told US Weekly.

While Shams was the first child born to the Shahs of Sunset, he is now joined by Golnesa’s son Elijah, who is a year his junior. In the current season of the show, the two eventually met. While MJ and Tommy cannot have any more children, they spend a lot of time with their son Shams. Tommy enjoys being a father, and his favorite activities with his kid include reading books and taking him on drives, as MJ observes their particular bond.
