“The View” Fans Want Whoopi Goldberg to be Fired!
The View viewers have called for Whoopi Goldberg to be removed after she went ‘crazy’ on the broadcast. The well-liked chat show fans are pushing for a cast reshuffle after the show’s hosts made several embarrassing gaffes.
As a result of Whoopi Goldberg’s irrational behavior on the popular American talk show The View, viewers have demanded that she be fired.
Fans were surprised when the 66-year-old host used the term a** while speaking on a panel about parenthood on Friday. She stated, “sometimes you have to be a** to be a parent.”
People and the actress and comedian’s followers rushed to Twitter to voice their displeasure with her choice of language because it did not sit well with them.
Someone wrote that today’s inappropriate language used by Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin was too much on the show.
One of the viewers commented on this: “Whoopi has to be pushed back on. People won’t let Whoopi interject one day, and it will drive her totally nuts. Because of how much worse she’s grown this season, I’m hoping that when her contract expires next year, she’ll be let go or forced to work less time.”
In another statement, someone said: “… I’m not sure what ABC considers to be happening here. They take many women who don’t have much credibility and let them talk day after day, and then they’re startled when one of the women says something stupid?”
Despite getting criticism from some for her problematic statement, Goldberg’s supporters rallied around her. One fan reportedly exclaimed, “LOVE Whoopi saying sometimes you have to be a** to be a parent.’
Following the hosts’ use of offensive language during their discussion on gun control, some viewers were left unimpressed. Excessive use of vulgarity caused many viewers to turn off the television.
Likewise, the Grammy Winning artist has been in the news lately, and it hasn’t been for the best reasons. Goldberg and another host Anna Navarro appeared to butt heads earlier this week.
As the show’s moderator, Goldberg controls the segments’ flow and calls for a new one or a break. Navarro interrupted the moderator and suggested that it was time for a commercial break, which gave the impression that she was attempting to play the role that Goldberg has been playing. “Perhaps we talk a little bit more about it when we come back,” Navarro suggested to Goldberg. Goldberg, however, made it abundantly obvious that the decision was not up to her by answering sarcastically, “Oh, you want to do this?”
Goldberg also made headlines earlier this year when she was suspended for two weeks for disrespectful comments about the Holocaust. Following Goldberg’s statement that the Holocaust had nothing to do with race, Behar asked, “What was it about?”.
“This particular situation pertains to how cruel humans can be to each other.” That’s what it’s about, Goldberg responded. Although she apologized, she was not allowed to appear on the broadcast.
