Marjorie Taylor Greene, an American politician cum businesswoman, and her husband, Perry Greene, are currently in the news headlines for their separation. Her husband has reportedly filed for divorce after 27 years of marriage.

Taylor Greene’s husband has filed for divorce as per the court records obtained by PEOPLE. The soon to be divorced duo walked down the aisle in 1995 while they were in College. Likewise, they share 3 children together who are already grown up.

As per the reports, the duo was separated before some time and remained in a bona fide state of separation. Further, the 48 years old US representative, Taylor Greene, was served the divorce petition on Tuesday. Her husband announced the divorce in September 2022 and said their marriage was irretrievably broken. The divorce petition was filed in the Georgia Superior Court of Floyd County.

He further said that their family is the most important thing they have done. Marjorie has been my best friend for the last 29 years, and she has been an amazing mom. He continued, As we go on different paths, we will continue to focus on our three incredible kids and their future endeavors and our friendship.

Furthermore, Mr. Greene has asked the court to seal existing and future filings in the divorce case to protect the family’s privacy. He has also asked for an equitable division of assets and debt.

The politician, on the other hand, said, Marriage is a wonderful thing, and I’m a firm believer in it. She added, Our society is formed by a husband and wife creating a family to nurture and protect. Together, Perry and I has formed our family and raised 3 great kids. Also, the media personality requested privacy as she and Perry navigate the divorce.

Taylor Greene also said He gave the best job title you can ever earn i.e. mom and I’ll always be grateful for how great of a dad he is to our three children.

As of now, the 48 years old politician is serving as the US representative for Georgia’s 14th congressional district, which she joined in 2021. Further, Taylor Greene is a member of the Republican Party. She has been one of the loudest voices supporting former US President, Donald Trump after the FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago.
