According to the source, the couple hasn’t seen each other since he departed the United Kingdom in July after Wimbledon. “Obviously, all of the pandemic-related travel restrictions haven’t helped,” the insider told The Sun. “People cannot simply hop on flights and fly around the world whenever they like. Everything has become more difficult as a result. Phoebe’s decision to go to Croatia with her friends rather than see Pete in America this week was telling.”

According to the source, their relationship was “crazy while it lasted,” and they genuinely cared for each other. The distance simply put them under a “strain” that they couldn’t overcome. Even their friends felt they were a fantastic couple. The two intend to stay friends, but “their relationship will not recover until something major happens.”

Dynevor and Davidson apparently began dating in February. Still, they kept their romance hidden until a fan saw them together outside her Caverswall house in March, according to Stoke-on-Trent Live. The outlet also shared a photo of the fan with Davidson. “We spotted them holding hands and hugging each other as they strolled past our house,” the admirer claimed.

Despite the ocean separating them, a source told Us Weekly that the two attempted to make a long-distance relationship work in early April. “Despite not being able to physically spend time together, Pete and Phoebe are still going strong,” a source claimed at the time. “They communicate via text and FaceTime. They’re only thinking about work right now… They don’t want to hasten things.”

Dynevor is most known for playing Daphne Bridgerton in Netflix’s Bridgerton. Although her love interest, Rege Jean-Page, will not appear in Season 2, Dynevour will return in Season 3. She also portrays Clarice Cliff, a ceramic artist, in the upcoming biography The Colour Room. Davidson has been a cast member of Saturday Night Live since 2014 and can now be seen in theaters in The Suicide Squad.
