Jack White’s Heartbreaking Performance – Last-Minute Tribute To Loretta Lynn
Jack White, full name John Anthony White, is better known as the main singer and guitarist for the White Stripes, a famous American rock band.
And recently, Jack has paid tribute to the late American singer and songwriter Loretta Lynn, whom he calls a mother figure. On October 4th, the country singer died while sleeping. An official family statement said she died “at home in her beloved ranch near Hurricane Mills.”
At Sunday night’s memorial for Loretta Lynn at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Jack White gave a heartfelt performance. White joined the cast right before the performance started. In her final two decades, White supported Lynn in making a return; he produced her critically acclaimed album, Van Lynn Rose, released in 2004.
The 47-year-old White sang the album’s title track, Van Lynn Rose, which Lynn composed. The Best Country Album Grammy was awarded to the album in 2005. In addition, the song Portland, Oregon, a duet with White, is included.
White also shared a two-minute video on social media after her death at age 90. “She was the best 20th-century female singer and songwriter,” Loretta said you had to be excellent or unique to be the first in evilness. She felt she was different and made it, but I think she was all three. She championed feminism and women’s rights at a time and in a genre that was the most difficult.“
When they recorded together, White was always surprised by Van Lynn Rose’s tunes. White continued, “Lynn was so imaginative, and I couldn’t believe what I was feeling and witnessing.” “And I looked up to her like a mother, and she was a good friend; she also shared certain secrets with me that I promise I’ll never share with anybody else.”
After thinking about her talent, White said, “she was really a genius and just wonderful at what she did and we were happy to have her and people can take for example the rags to riches side of it and the lovely natural voice part of it.”
Besides that, there is recent news about after 13 years of marriage, Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen have filed for divorce.
