Doctors later found out that he had a blocked artery and high blood pressure, and his heart was larger than normal. His family also had a history of heart problems.
In addition, Sergei and Ekaterina were a famous skating pair known for their graceful style, both on and off the ice. On the day he passed away, they were practicing their routine when he felt dizzy and fell down. Despite efforts to help him, he couldn’t be saved and passed away shortly after.
