Pregnant Ellie Goulding Shows Off Baby Bump in Candid Snap Taken by Husband

Ellie Goulding is expecting her first child with Caspar Jopling.

The 34-year-old singer, who’s presently expecting her first child, was captured showing off her baby bump in a photo shared by husband Caspar Jopling on 17 April 2021.

We can see Goulding in the snapshot sunning her growing belly as she sits opposite a picturesque stream. At the same time, Jopling deeps his feet in the water.

Jopling captioned the picture, writing, “My best friend is pregnant btw (with my new best friend) xx,” Jopling married Goulding in 2019. Goulding and her boyfriend, Caspar Jopling, announced their engagement on 7 August 2018.

The art dealer shared a shot of Goulding from her profile with Paper in which the pop star spoke about how she “would not be pregnant if the pandemic didn’t force her to cancel her Brightest Blue Tour. She recalls, “All I wanted to do was go on tour with it.”

Besides, during her interview with the fashion magazine, Goulding spoke about how she managed to keep news of her pregnancy under wraps by social distancing with Caspar in their country home. Some sources even claim Goulding kept her pregnancy mystery until thirty weeks.

She said we have this horrendous culture of wanting to know other people’s business. We just grew up in this culture of gossip and wanting to know everything about people. Goulding has always been someone to put her career and artistry above all else to an extremely successful extent. She’s watched friends fall pregnant over the years and, while doting on their cute babies, been completely unable to capture herself in the same position.

The Love Me Like You Do hitmaker first announced her pregnancy in a February 2021 interview with Vogue, disclosing that she found out about the baby news herself around the same time she was celebrating her first anniversary with Caspar Jopling 2020.

Goulding adds, “That was not the plan. The thought of getting pregnant didn’t seem like it could be a reality. Becoming pregnant kind of made me feel human. The songstress added, “I want a better word than ‘womanly,’ but I have curves I’ve never had before. I am enjoying it. My husband’s enjoying it”.

Finally, she’s found an easy balance between her musical career and personal life, or perhaps she pretends to seem so. Ellie has been recording and releasing new tracks while pregnant, including Silk City’s effortlessly catchy and joyful “New Love” from January. While producing the effervescent vocals, Goulding says she wistfully dreamed of traveling back in LA someday.
