Pete Davidson is Leaving SNL after 8 Years!
After seven seasons on the renowned late-night sketch comedy series, Pete Davidson is departing. According to Variety, Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend is slated to exit the show before season 48. This weekend’s May 21 program, hosted by Natasha Lyonne, is reported to be his final appearance. Kim and Pete started dating at the beginning of 2022. They have spent a lot of time till now.
When Davidson, 28, joined the NBC comedy show’s 40th season, he was a relative unknown, but his fame has risen owing to his colorful dating life. This season, he was noticeably absent from the award-winning comedic sketch program, missing multiple episodes while shooting a new horror picture. Last year, he made headlines as he dined, vacationed, and got intimate with Kardashian while allegedly feuding with her ex-husband, Kayne West, on social media.
At 20, Davidson joined SNL as a featured player in 2014. While he hasn’t revealed his future ambitions, he has put a lot of effort into the film and television industry. The comedian is preparing to debut his Netflix comedy special, in which he is likely to discuss his relationship with Kardashian. The special will premiere on June 13. Davidson also said that he is working on a TV program called Bupkis that would present a “raw, honest, dramatized” account of his life.
Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, and Kyle Mooney are all scheduled to leave Saturday Night Live. National Voter Registration Day said on Twitter immediately after he declared his departure from Saturday Night Live that he ‘couldn’t confirm he was leaving the program to work for them. However, the message appears to be a hoax. Davidson is most recognized for his role as the apathetic ‘Chad,’ which debuted in 2016 and has been popular for the last five years.
Chad was featured in a sketch with British artist Adele when she hosted the program in 2020 and was described as the “stereotypical stoner guy.” In 2020, Davidson released The King of Staten Island, a film based on his life, establishing his place as a real breakout star, following Kristen Wiig’s lead. One of his first starring parts was in this picture.
Since then, he appears to have been more devoted to his film and television career. In March, Deadline reported that the SNL cast member had missed several episodes of season 47 while filming The Home, a horror film he stars. The film follows Max, a disturbed guy who begins working at a senior home, directed by James DeMonaco, who also helmed The Purge. The inmates and employees were ‘harboring dangerous secrets,’ so Davidson’s character conducts an inquiry, which reveals parallels to his background as a foster child.
A24 unveiled the final trailer for his next feature, Bodies Bodies Bodies, released on August 5. The story revolves around a group of rich young people celebrating their birthdays at a distant family house during a hurricane. The gang decides to play a murder mystery game, which leads to a real-life murder spree.
