Milena Markovna Kunis is an American actress who starred alongside Kirsten Dunst in the 2001 film Get Over It. Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher’s romance has been almost a decade in the making, and it’s nearly as interesting as their individual contributions to film and television over the years.
The long journey to the couple’s wedded bliss has been a topic of talk once again, with a forthcoming joint-commercial appearance celebrating their romance due to broadcast during the 2021 Super Bowl. With everything out of the way, here’s a rundown of how Mila and Ashton met and what it took to get there.
Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher’s Dating Life
Mila and Ashton met for the first time in 1998 when they landed roles on That ’70s Show, which would define both of their early careers. The duo’s characters were on-and-off dating for eight seasons, and they enjoyed an on-screen kiss that Mila described to People as her first kiss ever. Despite Mila confessing to having a crush on Ashton at first, the two’s professional connections remained entirely professional.
In 2005, the handsome hunk quit the show just as it was about to end and began his romance with Demi Moore. Mila was dating Macaulay Culkin, the actor of Home Alone at the time. They began dating in 2002. Mila and Macaulay ended their relationship in 2011, and Ashton and Demi followed suit shortly after, putting both former co-stars back on the market simultaneously.
The actress revealed how she was surprised by the intensity of her attraction for Ashton when she saw him at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards in a talk with podcast host Marc Maron. Her infatuation would soon turn into real action, as the two experienced their first real kiss and reaffirmed their real-world passion for one another at an afterparty following the award event.
When Ashton asked Mila to move in with him in April of that year, their friends-with-benefits scenario essentially became the foundation for a serious relationship. They were soon photographed out and about in New York City, with Ashton even appearing in one of her acting ventures, indicating that they were now formally dating.

However, because matters with his ex were so tense at the time, Ashton and Demi’s divorce wasn’t finalized until November 2013, well into his and Mila’s relationship. Mila was photographed wearing an engagement ring at a Los Angeles Lakers game around New Year’s 2014 after the marriage was formally finalized. The markers of a new marriage were virtually all there. They officially announced their intended union a short time after.
Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher’s Child And Marriage
Mila revealed that she was pregnant during an interview on Ellen DeGeneres‘ talk program in May 2014, adding that she was craving pickles and sauerkraut. Wyatt Isabelle, the couple’s daughter, was born on September 30 of that year.
On July 4, 2015, Ashton and Mila married, around a year after she announced she was expecting. The couple chose an unusual honeymoon, renting an RV and traveling to places like Yosemite National Park and Napa Valley, California.
For another year, things were relatively peaceful for the couple until November 2016, when they brought their second child, a son called Dimitri Portwood, into the world. The pair have maintained their love connection and continued working on their respective goals since the birth of Dimitri while opting not to perform together in any other films for the sake of their union.
Despite revealing to Entertainment Tonight that the pair chose to work on a Super Bowl ad in 2021 to get some time away from their children after nearly a year of quarantining together, everything else in their family appears to be going swimmingly.
