Recently rapper and songwriter Kanye West got involved in many rumours and controversies, which made him headlines across the media world. The most recent news about him is connected to the world-famous sports brand, Adidas.

After terminating their business relationship with Kanye in October, Adidas has announced that they will conduct an investigation into allegations of misbehaviour against the rapper.

As per some reports, the detailed allegations of West’s inappropriate behaviour toward current and potential employees cause the current feeling. More than a dozen ex-employees of Yeezy and Adidas were interviewed.

Adidas released a statement on Thursday saying, “it is presently not obvious whether the charges mentioned in an anonymous letter are real.” We have decided to immediately initiate an independent investigation into the matter since we take these allegations very seriously.”

Similarly, former Yeezy executives reportedly complained about Kanye problematic behaviour in a letter to the company’s executive board members. And in the letter, it says that “this type of feedback from a brand partner is one that Adidas employees should never be subjected to and one that Adidas leadership should never tolerate.”

However, the well-known musician has yet to address the general public. In recent months, Adidas terminated the contract to work with the famous musician Kanye. Also, Union Investment, which owns a 0.76 per cent ownership in Adidas, contacted the business via letter to look further into the allegations.

According to Union Investment’s Head of ESG Capital Markets & Stewardship, Janne Werning, “Adidas needs to reveal when the management and the supervisory board was first notified about the internal claims.”

Since 2013, when Adidas signed its brand away from Nike, West and Adidas have worked together. Later, in 2016, Adidas expanded the contract with Kanye by calling it “one of the most significant partnerships.” Previously, he also ended the business partnership with Gap. Moreover, he was also not allowed to perform in the Grammys award show 2022.
