In 1981, Gayle King was employed as a news anchor by WFSB in Hartford, Connecticut, where she stayed for 18 years. Gayle was also a special correspondent for “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” appearing 141 times over the course of the show’s 25-season run. In 1991, King and Robin Wagner co-hosted “Cover to Cover,” an NBC daytime talk show, but it was cancelled after 13 weeks. Gayle has hosted three “The Gayle King Show” shows: a one-season syndicated talk show in 1997, an XM Satellite Radio show in 2006, and an OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) show in 2011.
