Similarly, the dynamic duo is reuniting for this upcoming drama, continuing their collaboration since “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” in 2019. Pitt, who clinched his first Oscar in their previous project, is rumored to take on the title role in what could be Tarantino’s cinematic farewell.

Describing the critic’s style at Cannes the previous year, Tarantino remarked,

“He wrote about mainstream movies and he was the second-string critic. I think he was a very good critic, cynical as hell. His reviews were a cross between early Howard Stern and what Travis Bickle might be if he were a film critic.” Despite hailing Pitt as “one of the last remaining big-screen movie stars,” Tarantino has hinted at stepping back after his 10th film.

Similarly, the movie is set in 1977 Los Angeles, the movie follows a critic working for the fictional publication “The Popstar Pages,” inspired by a real yet relatively unknown figure celebrated for his witty and at times provocative movie reviews.

Moreover, when the reporter asked more about his 10th film, Quentin playfully kept details under wraps, teasing the audience with,

“I can’t tell you guys [anything] until you see the movie. I’m tempted to do some of the character’s monologues right now, but I’m not going to. Maybe if there were fewer video cameras. You just have to wait and see.”

Meanwhile, The Fight Club actor Brad previously collaborated with Tarantino on “Inglourious Basterds” (2009) and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” (2019), winning an Oscar for the latter.

Taling about his recent works, Pitt has several projects in the pipeline, including Jon Watts‘ thriller “Wolfs,” a reunion with his “Ocean’s Eleven” co-star Adelia Clooney‘s brother George Clooney.

Additionally, he’s teaming up with director Joseph Kosinski for a Formula One racing movie for Apple TV+.

In 2022, the Hollywood star graced the screen in three notable films: the adventure rom-com “The Lost City” with Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum, the action-packed “Bullet Train,” and the Old Hollywood epic “Babylon.”
