Tasneem Roc was born as the youngest daughter to her family on 11 December 1978 in Sydney, Australia. She was born to a Scottish mother, Margaret Roc and a Karen Burmese father, John Roc. Tasneem was raised as full of love and care with her brother, James Roc. Also, Tasneem holds Australian citizenship.

Margaret Roc, Tasneem Roc’s mother, is the author of the famous kids’ book Jellybean Goes to School (2013). John Roc, Tasneem Roc’s father, is a social activist. Margaret was born in Scotland whereas, John was born in Burma. They both immigrated from their place to Australia to upgrade their studies. 

As for schooling, Tasneem attended Turramurra High School. At the same time, she desired to join acting classes at the Australian Theatre for Young People. Additionally, she got a chance to learn many tricks and tips to become a successful actor. Therefore, Roc graduated from the “University of Sydney” with a double major in English and Art History.
