Stephen Peacocke was born in Dubbo, New South Wales, on October 30, 1981, to former accountant Gareth Peacocke and his wife, Sylvia Peacocke. He has an older brother with whom he is super close.
The artist attended South Dubbo schools before completing his secondary education at a Bathurst boarding school. He went on to study communications at the University of Newcastle, where he took a drama class taught by Glenn Hazeldine, who encouraged him to pursue a career in acting.
