Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet Are Divorcing After Being Together for 16 Years
Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa, who has been married for sixteen years, announced their divorce on Wednesday. He announced the news with a message and some artsy photographs on Instagram. Momoa remarked, “We have all felt the squeeze and shifts of these transitional times.”
“A revolution is taking place, and our family is no exception… feeling and developing as a result of the seismic shifts taking place. Momoa and Bonet began dating in 2005 and married the following year. Lola, 14 years old, and Nakoa-Wolf, 12 years old, are their two children. Bonet formerly married Lenny Kravitz and has a daughter with him, Zoe Kravitz. Momoa described himself as a “nervous mess” when he initially asked Bonet out on a date in a 2020 interview with Men’s Health.
“Especially when you meet someone you’re completely smitten with and then learn she’s amazing, brilliant, and witty and she’s a goddess and you’re a degenerate,” the actor said.
Momoa went on to say that since being quarantined together when the pandemic began, he and his family had “become so much closer.” “My wife is sophisticated and intelligent, and [our children and I] are like animals who need to be better trained,” he remarked. “I’m always a work in progress, and all I’ve ever wanted to do is improve as a father and a spouse.”
