Anderson Cooper has Welcomed his 2nd Baby!
Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper is Anderson Cooper‘s second child. On his CNN show Anderson Cooper 360 on Thursday, the 54-year-old CNN anchor broke the exciting baby news.
“I wanted to start out with some good news, which also happens to be very personal news,” Cooper said, recalling the birth of his son, Wyatt, in April 2020, during the “early dark days of the pandemic.”
“These are the photos of Wyatt that I showed him at the time, taken just days after he was born. Today’s guest is Wyatt. He’ll be 22 months old soon. He’s sweet, amusing, and the source of my greatest joy. It’s because he now has a newborn brother that he appears to be overjoyed in this photo. Sebastian is his name, and I’d like you to meet him “Cooper went on to tell the world about his gorgeous new baby.

Cooper went on to say that he and his “best friend and former partner,” Benjamin Maisani, are raising Wyatt and Sebastian. “Wyatt refers to me as ‘daddy,’ and Benjamin refers to me as ‘papa.’ We’re a unit. Benjamin is also adopting Wyatt, who will have his last name changed to Maisani-Cooper as well.”
The CNN News anchor then acknowledged the “wonderful” doctors and nurses who assisted in Sebastian’s birth, as well as sending an emotional message to Sebastian’s surrogate and her family, thanking them for their “sacrifices.”
Cooper then announced that he would be taking the next few weeks off to spend time with his two sons and focus on his family. “I wish you all love and joy, positive thoughts, and wonderful days.”
