Colin Egglesfield was born in Farmington Hills, Michigan, on February 9, 1973. While growing up, his medical father, William Egglesfield, greatly influenced him. Kathleen née Dineen, his mother, is of Irish origin. He was up in a Catholic family with two siblings: an older sister, Kerry, and a younger brother, Sean.
