In July, an altercation between Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion led to the first rapper being detained when police discovered a pistol in his car and the latter being taken to the hospital after allegations that Lanez reportedly shot her. Megan captured sitting poolside with Lanez and Kylie Jenner on her Instagram Live earlier on Saturday night (July 11).

The Canadian rapper was eventually arrested for a felony count of carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle when cops discovered the handgun in his SUV after responding to a disturbance report outside a Hollywood Hills house at 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 12. A dispute erupted, and someone fired bullets in the air before fleeing in the car, where cops later discovered the “Hot Girl” rapper and another lady, according to TMZ’s first story.

Megan (real name Megan Pete) was reported to have a cut on her foot due to the car’s broken glass, but she clarified the situation on Wednesday, July 15, when she described suffering “multiple gunshot wounds as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intent to physically harm me.” The 25-year-old artist stated that she was not detained at the time but that she was driven to the hospital to have her foot bullets removed.

Following Megan’s Instagram post, her friend Kelsey Nicole, the other lady found in the car, took to social media to clarify the situation. “I’d want to dispel the notion that I shot Megan. I WASN’T the one with the gun, and I’d never do such a thing. “However, I was present,” she said in an Instagram post that has since been removed.

The source also claimed police were investigating the video footage. “This is a case of a man physically harming and abusing a woman,” read the report.

In addition, Lil Ju Made The Beat, the Suga rapper’s producer, released a series of tweets about the event, one of which explicitly attacked Lanez in a since-deleted tweet, writing, “@torylanez count your f—ing days.” After a fan-submitted a since-deleted story of her representation suggesting Lanez was safeguarding the “Girls in the Hood” musician, the hitmaker warned his fans not to think The New Toronto 3 rapper “was defending her.”

The singer reportedly shot her from inside the SUV “as Megan was outside attempting to flee,” according to Page Six on Thursday, July 16. Police were also said to be looking into the video evidence. The report stated, “This is a case of a guy physically assaulting and abusing a lady.”
