Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s Love Story Gets Its Biopic
The love tale of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne is being adapted for the big screen. According to Variety, Sony Pictures is developing a biopic about the long-married pair, and Oscar nominee Lee Hall will write the screenplay. “Our relationship was frequently crazy, insane, and dangerous at times, but our undying love kept us together,” Sharon, 69, said in a statement. “We’re ecstatic to be working with Sony Pictures and Polygram to bring our tale to the big screen.”
The film is being produced by Sharon and two of her children, Jack and Aimee, through their label Osbourne Media. Many songs from Ozzy’s rock band Black Sabbath and his solo career will be included prominently in the film. The biopic will follow Ozzy, 72, and Sharon’s relationship and how they met. In 1982, after three years of dating, the pair married.
Their family’s antics were previously immortalized in MTV’s reality show “The Osbournes.” The show aired from 2002 to 2005 and provided an inside peek into the heavy metal singer’s and his family’s home life. Jack, 35, and the couple’s other daughter, Kelly, 36, were prominently featured in the presentation.

Even though the series was one of MTV’s most-watched at the time of its release, Aimee, 38, refused to be a part of it. In an interview with New York’s Q1043 radio program last year, she outlined her reasons for not appearing on the reality show.
“I had grown up with a rather well-known father, and… I had always valued my privacy inside that family,” Aimee explained. The musician concluded, “And for me personally, and for who I am, you know, morally, and also just to give myself an opportunity to actually mature into a human being as opposed to just being known for being a teenager.”
“It obviously worked beautifully for the rest of my family,” Aimee explained. She continued, “But for me, and who I am, I simply thought it was never something I could realistically consider.” “Strangely, I believe I was more mature then than I am now.”
