Miss Curtis shot Adkins because of his drinking habit in 1994, and they separated three years later. Julie called Trace’s mother, but she broke her phone in anger. Therefore, the scared lady grabbed the 38 guns lying on the fridge and fired at him.

The bullet went through his heart and both lungs. Adkins, however, survived but chose not to press charges. Unfortunately, after three years of marriage, the pair called it quits citing personal issues. Julie didn’t have any children with Trace Adkins.
